Don’t understand the difference between a Cloud Practitioner and a Solutions Architect? No worries! You’ll learn where this AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA) certification fits into the overall AWS certification path.

1. AWS Cloud Practitioner Refresher​

If it’s been a while since you took the Cloud Practitioner training or exam, this section provides you with a refresher on the important concepts and services to remember before diving into the deep end.

2. Authentication and Authorization – Identity and Access Management (IAM)​

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is at the core of everything in AWS. You’ll dig deep into the important concepts and services, such as Amazon Cognito, AWS SSO, and AWS Organizations.

3. Compute​

Learn about more advanced concepts, and get practice with several hands-on demos. Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Lambda and the various container services (ECS, EKS, Fargate and ECR) shine in this section.

4. Elastic Load Balancing and Auto Scaling​

Elasticity is a cornerstone concept for cloud computing. In this section, we get into detail about how that works in AWS, with the primary focus being load balancing and auto scaling groups.

5. Networking​

At the end of the day AWS is essentially a giant network, and you really need to understand networking concepts to be successful. Are you a networking novice? Have no fear! This section will break it down with easy-to-understand concepts and plenty of practice.

6. Storage​

AWS offers a variety of storage solutions, with S3 Storage being the most popular. This section dives into advanced concepts for S3 but you’ll also learn about additional storage solutions such as Elastic File System (EFS), Storage Gateway, and the Snow Family of Products.

7. Databases​

So many databases, so little time! From relational databases to NoSQL databases to graph to in-memory databases, AWS has it all. This section will cover everything you need to know for the Solutions Architect certification exam.

8. Data Migration and Transfer​

You’ll get a high-level look at the various AWS services available for migrating data, such as AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS DataSync, AWS Application Migration Service, the AWS Transfer Family, and the AWS Snow Family.

9. Analytics​

You already know the world runs on data. But with so much data, how do you make sense of it all? In this section, you’ll dig deep into the AWS analytics services that help you process and analyze data, including Amazon Athena, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon QuickSight and Amazon EMR.

10. Monitoring​

So you’ve deployed your service to the cloud. Now what? This section covers services used for monitoring your cloud, including AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail and AWS Config.

Security and compliance may not be sexy, but they’re more important today than ever before. You’ll learn how to use the spectrum of services available in AWS to help keep you safe and compliant.

12. Automation and Governance​

You’re here because this AWS bootcamp will teach you in an efficient and effective manner, so of course you’ll also want to be efficient and effective when working as a Cloud Architect or Engineer.

13. DNS and Network Routing​

This section builds on the Networking section covered earlier in the course. Specifically you’ll start digging into Domain Name System (DNS) concepts and how it works in AWS with Route 53. You’ll also learn about Amazon’s content delivery network called CloudFront.

14. Application Integration​

Microservices are all the rage these days. With so many architectures adopting a microservices approach these days, you’ll need a way to integrate a lot of moving parts. To do this, AWS offers services like the Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS), EventBridge and Step Functions, which you’ll learn how to use in this section.

15. Machine Learning​

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are enormous topics in themselves. For the Solutions Architect exam though, you only need to know the basics. This section covers the core AI/ML services, including why, how, and when to use them.

16. Backup and Recovery​

Disasters happen. They’re frustrating, scary, and horrible, but they’re a fact of life. This section covers strategies and services available for disaster recovery in AWS, because as a Solutions Architect it’s important that you know what to do when it all goes wrong.

17. Billing and Pricing​

AWS works on a pay-as-you-go model. So it’s important to understand how things are billed and how to reduce your costs as much as possible. This module covers services and tools available to help you control your spending.

18. The Well-Architected Framework​

Every good Solutions Architect should know the Well-Architected Framework. This section covers the six pillars of the Framework, including numerous examples of how they’re implemented.

19. Preparing For The Exam​

You’re here to launch your new career as an AWS Cloud Architect. To do that you need to pass the certification exam. That’s what this is all about. So don’t skip this section – this is where the magic happens! You’ll learn test-taking tips, sample questions, and what to expect on the day of the exam. You’ll even be walked through how to register for the exam. Seems simple but we like to make things as seamless as possible for you.

20. AWS Practice Exam + Quizzes​
